| Redwood Credit Union’s Administrative Offices & Branch in Santa Rosa received a Silver LEED certification for our green efforts in remodeling the 1960s era building. |
The building was originally built in the 1960s, but after purchasing it in 2005, RCU made extensive modifications in order to make it more light- and energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly.
Some of the outstanding features of the remodeled building include:
The result of this remodel has not only been an environmentally sound and positive workplace for nearly 200 of the Credit Union's 350 employees, but the facility also provides a comfortable and healthy atmosphere for Members to conduct business at the on-site branch and two ATMs.
The remodel also allowed RCU to gain efficiencies by consolidating our administrative workforce from three separate buildings into one, reducing the need for cross-town travel and allowing us to better serve Members. Additionally, the new facility features a 200-seat community room, which provides a more efficient place for RCU to hold company meetings and events, and we also make it available to non-profits and community groups to host events at no charge.
